Abrahamson, Susan, August 19, 2018

ABRAHAMSON, Susan Resident of Framingham, formerly of Newton Highlands and Newton Centre. She passed away on August 19, 2018 surrounded by her family after battling lung cancer at the age of 72. She was born in Albany, NY to Marjorie and Joseph Loudis and was one of three siblings. Beloved wife of Jon Abrahamson. Devoted mother of Jason Ross & his wife Laura of Lexington, Stephanie White & her husband William of Franklin, and Stepmother of Karen Galipeau & her husband Rick of Richmond, RI. Loving Grandmother of Abigail White, Owen Ross, Tyler Ross, Ben Harrison, and Jack Harrison. Dear sister of Richard Loudis & his wife Carol of McLean, VA, John Loudis & his wife Julia of Downingtown, PA, and Patricia Loudis of Arlington, VA. Susan was a very caring and giving person to everyone in her life. She graduated from Boston University and received a Master's degree from Northeastern University. She and her husband owned and operated a small gallery called Pachetto in Newton Center for several years, but her career was focused on helping others as a Speech Pathologist. She taught in two districts in Upstate NY and several different school districts across the Commonwealth including Stoneham, Belmont, Learning Prep Newton, Chelmsford, Waltham and Needham. Susan loved vacationing in southern Maine and spending time with her family. She became an avid tennis play in her later years, working hard at a sport that she picked up in her 60's. She fiercely competed in USTA matches at Wayside Tennis Club in Marlboro and Longfellow Tennis Club in Wayland. Services and Interment will be private.
