Delaney, Claudette December 8, 2010, H.S. Guidance

Claudette M. Delaney, 67, of Batchelder Rd. passed away Dec. 8 at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody, Mass. with her family at her side. She was born in the Madeleine Islands, Quebec on April 13, 1943, daughter of the late Dr. Wilfred and Georgianna (Page) Delaney. Formerly of Cambridge, she attended Boston College to which she majored in philosophy. She furthered her education at Northeastern and achieved a masters degree in counseling. She went on to become a guidance counselor for 32 years at the Waltham Middle and High Schools. She was an accomplished folk singer, oil painter, and was an avid photographer and writer. Claudette was a devoted and loving member of her family and she will be sadly missed. She is survived by her partner of 27 years, Carol A. Vincent, her son Donald Vincent Jr., her daughter Melissa Cassidy and her husband August., her brother Paul Delaney, her sister Gilberte Delaney, and her grandchildren Shayla and Brently Cassidy who knew her as "YaYa".
