Dorsey, John “Jack”

John “Jack”  Dorsey, 77, of Mashpee, formerly of Franklin, passed away peacefully at Massachusetts General Hospital on January 31, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Geraldine Dorsey and the son of the late John and Helen Dorsey. Jack was a proud graduate of St. Michael's College, Burlington, VT. He worked as an English Teacher for Waltham High School for many years until his retirement in 1999. He was a parishioner at Christ the King Church and volunteered at the Mashpee Council on Aging. Jack enjoyed golf, wooden bird carving and fishing and loved his New England sports teams. Most of all, he enjoyed his family. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who loved him. Jack is survived by 3 children: John H. Dorsey and wife Trish of Dedham, Kathleen Dorsey Gilman and husband Randy of Quincy, Michael C. Dorsey and wife Jennifer of Glen Rock, NJ; his brother Peter Dorsey and his family; sister Pattie Guindon and her family; 4 grandchildren, Ian, Liam, Jennifer, Celia; and a niece and many nephews.
