Labbe, Roger C.,  February 12, 2019

Mr. Roger C. Labbe, of Peabody, formerly of Waltham, died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Brigham and Women's Hospital. He was 90. Roger was born October 12, 1928 in Biddeford, Maine where he was raised and educated. Upon graduation from Biddeford High School he enlisted with the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. Roger earned his Bachelor's degree from Boston College as well as his Master's degree. Roger also studied for two years at Saint John's Seminary. He was married to Charlene M. Rotchford on November 11, 1963 in the Chapel at Boston College. Charlene died unexpectedly on January 30, 1991.
 
Roger began teaching French at the Kennedy Junior High School in Waltham and later became a guidance counselor at Kennedy and later Waltham Vocational High School and lastly at South Junior High School when he retired in 1994. A longtime Waltham resident he moved to the Brooksby Village Retirement Community in 2004. Roger was a man of routine. Mindful of his health for years he would complete his daily 3 mile run in his signature running outfits. He followed Boston College football and tennis religiously and treasured his friendships and games of pool with the residents of Brooksby Village. In addition to his wife, Charlene, he is predeceased by his siblings, Richard, Andrew, and Donald Labbe, Madeline DeSantis, Marylou Niaves and Mickey LaFlamme. He leaves his children, Timothy R. Labbe of Franklin and Michelle M. Ferullo (David) of Reading; his grandchildren, Chloe Labbe, John 'Jack', Anthony and Nicolas Ferullo; nieces & nephews
