Martin,  Mary R. (Ahern), April 14, 2019
Mrs. Mary R. (Ahern) Martin, of Waltham, died Sunday, April 14, 2019 in Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. She was 85.
Mary was born on May 11, 1933 in Arlington a daughter of the late Everett and Pauline (Zeiner) Ahern. Raised in Arlington she was a graduate of Arlington High School. She married Robert N. Martin in 1957 in Saint Agnes Church and they moved to Waltham in 1961.
Mary worked in the cafeteria for many years at Waltham High School before retiring.
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert N. Martin (Oct. 1986) and her son, Richard J. Martin; her grandson, Michael Mancuso and brothers, Everett and Alan Ahern.
Mary adored her family. She was a faithful cheerleader and always present on the sidelines of her grandchildren's games. Family vacations and outings during the summer on Cape Cod. She was a longtime member and daily communicant of Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church. She leaves her children, Susan M. Mancuso (Richard) of Framingham, Robert N. Martin (Debra) of Waltham, Janet M. Ray (Richard) of Cumberland, Rhode Island, Thomas J. Martin (Carla Collopy) of Belmont, Nancy M. Tomacelli (Ernest) of Holliston; her grandchildren Megan Mancuso, Danielle Martin, Robert Martin III, Justine, Christopher and Amanda Ray, Thomas and Kevin Martin, Matthew, Kayla and Joseph Tomacelli; also survived by nieces & nephews.
